The last 2 weeks of May we will be traveling to Trujillo-Peru to do mission work. We will be partnering with the Misioneros de la Cruz Methodist Church to work with the children at CAEF, a home for children victims of abuse. Also, during the second week, we will work on reaching out college students at the Antenor Orrego Private University with the Misioneros de la Cruz Church, supporting their College Ministry.

CAEF has projects at Taquila and Torres de San Borja. All of these places are located close to Las Delicias beach. We will be ministering to children and their mothers through a VBS program.

CAEF has been open for more than 10 years now. Around 5 years ago they had the opportunity to buy land close to the beach and function in their own building. Under the direction of their founder, Ms. Judith Villalobos, they treat children and their families that have been victims of abuse. They have around 8 volunteers, cooks, psycologists and students that work week to week with the children. Also, they provide workshops for parents that have to teach them to deal with their children and overcoming the abuse they have suffered.

Taquila has around 16 children and 15 mothers.There CAEF works on prevention. They offer workshops to all the mothers committed to being part of the program about health, discipline and values.Their goal here is to prevent abuse rather than treat it as in the case of their work at CAEF. 

Torres de San Borja has around 200 children in the community. Only 58 are oficially part of the program but about 100 show up at any given special activity. CAEF's work here is also on prevention.

At UPAO we will be visiting with the students, getting to know them and inviting them to our concert in the main auditorium. There we will have music, testimonies, devotion, drama and small group discussion.
